The HEAVY TRUCK BRAKE FORCE CALCULATION EXCEL WORKBOOK was created John Bruno, retired Michigan State Police, to assist the crash investigator in the completion and analysis of heavy truck braking systems. Consisting of several worksheets, the investigator will be able to enter field data and examine the results using the excel spreadsheets.

The program also assists the investigator in the analysis of rollovers, off-tracking, axle weight reconstruction and the calculation of ECM data.

About the Author

John Bruno

John has over 34 years of law enforcement experience, serving with the Michigan State Police since 1987. He was a full time crash reconstructionist and held the rank of Spl/Sgt with the Traffic Crash Reconstruction unit. His work has been recognized by Governors Traffic Safety Advisory Commission with a Lifetime Achievement Award in Traffic Safety.

He has an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Northern Michigan University and is certified by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstructionists (ACTAR). He formerly served on the ACTAR Governing Board of Directors and is the past chairperson for the Theory Test Committee. He also serves on the Michigan Association of Traffic Accident Investigators (MATAI) Board of Directors.
